We opened class with attendance, and those final sheets and binders all came in!
We talked a little bit about current events, as well as another September 11th that much of the Northern Hemisphere is unaware of.
We discussed the use of the Mercator map vs the Gall-Peters projection and looked at some videos making the rounds on social media about the recent UN vote on adopting a more accurate global map.
Students did one last scavenger hunt, then set about writing an in-class paragraph.
These paragraphs are not graded - they will be used for diagnostic purposes in order to assess students' needs going forward. There is no need for anyone to be concerned about what they were able to get on the page, unless they did not do their best in the allotted time.
NOVEL NEEDED FOR WEDNESDAY'S CLASS, but there is no additional homework.
